Air India and Singapore Airport Terminal Services (AISATS),
the leading provider of integrated Ground Handling in India and Singapore respectively, have formed a JV to provide Ground Handling services to Domestic and International carriers at Bangalore and Hyderabad International Airports. AISATS invites applications from eligible candidates for the upcoming project at Hyderabad International Airport, on a three year fixed-term contract. Please note that the actual reservation will be on post-based Roster, depending on the cadre strength prevalent at the time of appointment and the requirement in each reserved category.

 
Customer Service (Job Code: CS)

Asst Manager/Duty Manager


Qualification

Graduates with minimum of 5 years experience in Ground-handling agency, passenger handling, fares, reservation, ticketing, with any airline or IATA travel agency may apply. Candidates with an MBA degree will be preferred.

Supervisor

Qualification

Graduates with minimum of 1 year experience in Ground-handling operations, passenger handling/customer service, with any airline or IATA travel agency, or from hospitality industry may apply for Supervisor post. Preference will be given to candidates with longer and relevant working experience.

Must possess good oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate in Foreign Language like French, German, Spanish, etc. is preferable. Must be willing to work in rotating shifts.

Officer

Qualification

Bachelor Degree with 5 years of experience or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognized by the State Government with 8 years of experience or Bachelors Degree in Science with minimum 5 years of experience in Ground Handling Agency, Earth moving or Material Handling equipment areas will be considered for the position of Asst Manager/Duty Manager. Preference will be given to those who have related experience in managing Ramp/Baggage Operations.

Asst Manager – Safety

Qualification

Candidates with Degree in Industrial Engineering and 6 years experience as a qualified Safety Officer with knowledge on Ground handling operations will be considered for Asst Manager Safety position. Preference would be given to candidates with postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.

Supervisor

Qualification

Candidates with similar educational background as mentioned above (Asst Manager / Duty Manager) with more than one year of experience will be considered for Supervisor position in Ramp. Preference will be given to candidates with longer and relevant working experience.

Suitable graduates in any other discipline can also be considered for Apron, Load Control, Baggage & Transport positions.

Officer

Qualification

For Apron, candidates with Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Electronics / Automobile Engineering recognized by the State Government with two years of experience in operating Ground Support Equipment such as Push Back / Tow Tractors, Main deck loaders, Lower / Universal Loaders, Earth Moving or Material handling equipment. Candidates to possess HMV License .

For Baggage & Transport areas, suitable candidates with relevant experience of more than 2 years can also be considered.

For Load Control position, candidates with degree in science and minimum of 1 year experience in Load Control functions may apply.

Equipment Operators

Qualification

Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical/ Automobile / Electrical / Electronics / Industrial with minimum 2 years experience in rectification of snags and repair of electro-mechanical/ electrical and electronic circuits / PCBs in Aviation Ground Handling equipment or in Earthmoving or Material handling equipment having similar electro-hydraulic circuits or Control circuits in Generating & Air conditioning Systems will be considered for the Officer position. Should possess at least a light vehicle Driving license.

Equipment Operator (Ramp Handling)

Applicants will have to appear for a Basic English Comprehension Test followed by a Practical Test (which will assess driving skills and basic technical knowledge of motor vehicle). Require to operate ground handling equipment likes tractor, motorized conveyor belt loader and positioning non-motorised equipment at parking bays including towing duties.

Officer (Load Control, Baggage, Transport Services)

Applicants will have to appear for a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension test followed by two rounds of personal interview. Able to perform work with speed and accuracy and should be customer-oriented and quality driven.

Officer (Ramp and Maintenance)

For Ramp positions applicants will have to appear for an additional Technical Test (Heavy Vehicle operations) in addition to a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension followed by two rounds of personal interview. Require to operate and maintain sophisticated ground handling equipments.

For Maintenance positions applicants will have to appear for an additional Technical Test (Mechanical/Electrical) in addition to a written Basic Aptitude, English comprehension test followed by two rounds of personal interview.

Supervisor

Applicants will have to appear for an Aptitude, English Proficiency and Technical Test including computer literacy (Wherever applicable). The applicant should be capable of leading a team of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled staff, able to work under pressure.

Supervisor (Ramp)

Additionally, will be responsible for all ramp handling activities during flight handling which includes safe and secure handling of aircraft and operations of sophisticated Ground Handling Equipments operated by his team.

Asst Manager

Additionally the applicant will go through a 16 PF (Personality Factors) which will assess the leadership skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving and decision making ability. Apart from the tests mentioned above additionally applicants will have to appear for case based questions which will assess their knowledge on general safety standards.

General Conditions

Period of Contract : Fixed Term Contract for a period of three years, which could be terminated at the discretion of the Management during the tenure of contract, and/or in the event of unsatisfactory performance or company requirements. The job is transferable to any station in India as per company requirement.

Relaxation of height requirement up to 2.54 cms ( 1” ) will be considered for Gorkhas, Garhwalis and those hailing from North-East States & hilly areas. This relaxation will be granted to candidates who produce a Certificate of Domicile of these areas.

Consideration of SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per Government Directives on reservation of posts.

Photocopy of Caste Certificate duly attested by a Gazetted Officer should be enclosed in case of SC/ST candidates.

Reservation for Physically Handicapped persons will be as per Government guidelines. Physically Handicapped candidates are required to submit the necessary medical certificate(s)/copies of documents issued by the Competent Authority for being considered under the Physically Handicapped category.

The candidates belonging to OBC categories must submit an attested photocopy of the Certificate recently issued by the Competent Authority, in the format as prescribed by Govt. of India. The Certificate, inter alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBC in civil posts and services under the Govt. of India. Please note that insofar as the reservation for OBCs is concerned, the candidates whose Caste is included in the Central List of OBCs shall only be considered, if otherwise found to be eligible.

SC/ST candidates called for Endurance Test/ Personal Interview(s) residing beyond 80 kms. from the Test Center, will be re-imbursed second class to & fro rail / bus fare by the shortest route as per the Presidential Directives.
