SATS MANAGEMENT CHANGES
12 November 2003

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Ltd (SATS) today announced that its Management will take a pay cut of between 22.5% and 27.5%. The move is in line with measures being taken to restructure costs with the decline in business demand. Wage reduction will take effect from 1 June 2003.

SATS HAS ANNOUNCED IT HAS SIGNED AUSTRALIAN AIRLINES AS ITS FOURTH NEW CUSTOMER

SATS was appointed ground-handling agent by the new Australian carrier, which yesterday, commenced its thrice weekly service between Singapore Changi Airport and Cairns International Airport, Queensland, Australia.

SATS ACQUIRES SINGAPORE FOOD PROCESSING COMPANY

SATS today announced it has signed a conditional agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Country Foods Pte Ltd, an established supplier of processed foods in Singapore. Country Foods, a quality supplier of chilled and frozen processed foods in domestic and international markets, will become SATS’ seventh subsidiary.

SATS’ JOINT-VENTURE OPENS CARGO TERMINAL AT CHIANG KAI SHEK AIRPORT, TAIWAN

Singapore Airport Terminal Services’ (SATS) joint-venture company Evergreen Air Cargo Services Corporation (EGAC), today officially opened its new airfreight terminal at Chiang Kai Shek International Airport, Taiwan. The new 45,000 sq metre facility is Taipei’s second only on-airport cargo facility.

CHINA'S HAINAN AIRLINES BECOMES SATS' 45TH CUSTOMER

China’s Hainan Airlines has become Singapore Airport Terminal Services’ (SATS) 45th customer, after the airline started a weekly Haikou to Singapore service today. Hainan is China’s fourth largest airline group and plans to increase the frequency of its flights to Singapore to twice weekly from April next year. SATS will supply the Chinese carrier with passenger handling, apron, baggage, aircraft interior cleaning, cargo handling and security.

SATS NAMED ASIA'S BEST AIR CARGO TERMINAL OPERATOR FOR 8TH TIME

Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) has been named the best air cargo terminal operator in Asia in the 2002 Asian Freight Industry Awards. It is the eighth time in 13 years that SATS has won the prestigious award, which is given to the cargo terminal operator that receives the most votes from a pool of 13,000 senior cargo industry professionals in Asia Pacific.

SATS WON THE QANTAS SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT (QSA) "PREFERRED SUPPLIER" AWARD

SATS has won the Qantas Supplier Assessment (QSA) “Preferred Supplier” award for the year ending 31 July 2001. It is the second time in three years that SATS has received the commendation from Qantas. The award gives recognition to SATS for establishing internationally competitive best practice, quality, cost and service programmes for the provision of goods and services to Qantas.

SATS ENTERS INTO A JOINT VENTURE WITH YCH FOR AIR CARGO DELIVERY SERVICES

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) today signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with YCH Group Pte Ltd (YCH) to offer air cargo delivery services. SATS will have a 70% stake in the joint venture while YCH will have the remaining 30% stake.

SATS LTD AND THE INDIAN HOTELS COMPANY LTD SET UP INDIAN JOINT VENTURE COMPANY

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) today signed Business Transfer and Shareholder Agreements with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), a subsidiary of the TATA Group of companies, to form a joint venture company to acquire the airline catering services of the Taj Group (IHCL and its affiliates) at major airports in India. SATS and IHCL will hold 49% and 51% respectively in the newly incorporated joint venture company in India, to be called "TAJ SATS Air Catering" after completion of the transaction. The joint venture will offer opportunities for a cross fertilisation of expertise and experience between the two companies.

PROSPECTIVE JOINT VENTURE BETWEEN SATS LTD & THE INDIAN HOTELS COMPANY LTD

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) announces that it is in negotiations with Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), a part of the TATA group of companies, to form a new joint venture company which will handle the air catering business of IHCL and its affiliates (the Taj Group). It is proposed that the new company will be a 51:49 joint venture between IHCL and SATS.

SATS TO OFFER TELEPHONE, FAX AND INTERNET CHECK-IN SERVICE AT CHANGI AIRPORT TERMINAL 1

From 1 June 2001, nine airlines operating at Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 will be able to offer their passengers more check-in options, by telephone, fax and internet. This service, provided by the airlines’ handling agent, Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS), will be a boon to sophisticated travellers who have come to expect greater flexibility and choice, even when checking in for their flights.

SATS TO TAKE 20% STAKE IN TAIPEI CARGO JOINT VENTURE

Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (SATS) today signed a sale and purchase agreement to acquire a 20% stake in Evergreen Air Cargo Services Corporation (EGAC) from its holding company, Singapore Airlines Limited (SIA). The acquisition comprises 16,000,000 shares of par value NTD10 each, for a total cash consideration of S$8.79 million, based on fair market valuation.

MEDIUM TERM NOTE ("MTN") PROGRAMME

SATS, Citicorp and DBS Bank today jointly announced the proposed establishment of a S$500 million Medium Term Note ("MTN") Programme by SATS. The MTN Programme will be jointly arranged by Citicorp and DBS Bank. Under the MTN Programme, SATS may from time to time issue notes in various currencies, amounts and maturities, and such notes may bear interest at fixed, floating or variable rates. Funds raised under the MTN Programme will be used to refinance existing loans, and to finance investments (including capital expenditure) and working capital requirements of SATS and its subsidiaries.

SATS WINS AWARDS FROM QANTAS AIRWAYS

SATS, today, received 2 awards from Qantas(QF) for winning their Supplier Assessment (QSA) for the year ending 31 July 2000. SATS emerged the winner in a section award for "Airport Services Purchasing Ground Handling", as well as the winner for the major award category "QSA Airport Services Purchasing Supplier of 2000". The awards give recognition to the significant achievement by SATS in its endeavours to ensure the provision of timely, cost competitive and high quality service and support for the provision of goods and services to Qantas.

SATS IS CHOSEN GROUND HANDLER FOR NEWEST AIRLINE INTO CHANGI

Multiple award-winning ground handler, Singapore Airport Terminal Services Group (SATS), signed a long-term contract today with Evergreen International Airlines, one of the world’s largest air cargo airlines. The Oregon-based carrier starts twice weekly B747-Freighter scheduled operations into Singapore Changi Airport today. It is expected to increase the frequency to three times a week from 1 June 2000.
