To stay ahead of competition, we continuously improve our efficiency and productivity through equipment upgrades and enhancements. These include upgrading the Materials Handling Systems, replacement of the coldrooms' refrigeration system with non-CFC gas and installation of the auto weight capture feature in our Cargo Operations Systems.

SATS is the first in the world to apply Radio Frequency technology to airfreight handling processes. Using radio frequency wireless technology, our Radio Frequency Data Terminals and Radio Frequency Identification Systems provide for real-time, online tracking and update of Unit Load Device movements in and out, as well as within our airfreight terminals (AFTs). Recently, we have upgraded the radio frequency infrastructure to tap on Wi-Fi technology to improve the speed of data transfer. Besides giving better control of the stock checking process, the systems also improve efficiency and accuracy in the airfreight handling processes.

SATS CargoNet, a web-based system, that allows for 24-hour, real-time flight and shipment tracking using the Internet platform. Users of CargoNet are able to electronically schedule delivery and acceptance times via the www.satscargo.com portal.
