TENDER SPECIFICATIONS FOR SATS CATERING UPLIFT DATA HUB

SATS Food Solutions invites qualified and experienced IT solution providers to implement and support the Catering Uplift Data Hub, a strategic initiative to establish a centralised data repository for flight uplift planning, operational execution, and performance monitoring across catering operations. Currently, critical data—such as flight schedules, Equipment Loading Plans (ELP), meals uplift, productivity metrics, and SLA performance—is fragmented across multiple systems and manual processes, resulting in inefficiencies, duplication, and limited visibility. The proposed solution will consolidate these data sources into a unified, structured platform, enabling automated data integration, real-time reporting, and improved operational insights.

The platform will serve as a foundation for data-driven decision-making by integrating workflows across key operational areas and enabling advanced analytics, dashboarding, and future automation. Vendors are expected to propose scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions that address complex data integration requirements, including processing of semi-structured data, system interoperability, and strong data governance. The solution should demonstrably improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance SLA and productivity tracking within a high-volume, mission-critical environment.

The solution shall provide robust interfaces with SATS systems e.g. Flight Information Hub (FIH), Kitchen Status Monitoring System (KSMS) and SAP, as well as with airline portal using text files over SFTP, to enable seamless data exchange. It must support ingestion and processing of email-based inputs and text files, including structured and unstructured attachments (e.g. Excel, PDF), with capabilities for validation, parsing, and data extraction, supported by appropriate error handling and audit logging. Outputs shall be standardised, accurate, and configurable, supporting downstream integration, file-based outputs, and reporting dashboards to ensure operational visibility.

Proposals will be evaluated based on:

  • Technical compliance with requirements, including system integration, email processing, and data/output accuracy
  • Vendor experience and proven track record in similar implementations
  • Solution scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Cost competitiveness (implementation, licensing, and support)
  • Implementation approach, delivery timeline, and availability of local support
