Mak Swee Wah


Non-Executive and
Independent Director

Mr Mak joined the SATS Board on 11 September 2023 as a Non-Executive and Independent Director and is a member of the Safety Sustainability and Risk Committee. He was last re-elected on 19 July 2024.

Presently, he serves as a member of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore – Air Hub Development Advisory Committee and is a senior fellow of the Singapore Aviation Academy. He is also a director of Mount Faber Leisure Group Pte. Ltd.

In his distinguished career in the aviation industry spanning over 40 years, Mr Mak retired as the executive vice president operations and chief operations officer of Singapore Airlines Limited (“SIA”). During his tenure, he held various senior management positions in the marketing, planning and operational areas within SIA. He also served as a nonexecutive director of SIA Engineering Company Limited, a company listed on the SGX-ST.

Mr Mak holds a Master’s Degree in Science, majoring in Operational Research, and a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Accounting & Finance, both from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
