Mr Michael Zechmeister joined the SATS Board on 26 March 2026 as a Non-Executive and Independent Director. He currently serves as a member of the Audit Committee and the Safety, Sustainability and Risk Committee.
He is currently an Operating Partner at DigiKey Corporation and serves as an Independent Board Director for Hormel Foods Corporation, a Fortune 500 global branded food company and listed on NYSE. In this capacity, he is a member of both the Audit and Compensation Committees. He also sits on the Board of Advisors at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, where he serves as Chair of both the Board and the Executive Committee.
With over three decades of senior finance leadership experience in the consumer products, foodservice as well as global logistics and warehousing, primarily across the United States, Mr Zechmeister brings significant industry expertise to his roles. He served as Chief Financial Officer at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., a company listed on NASDAQ, for five years from August 2019 to August 2024, where he built a high-performing finance team and played a key role on the Senior Leadership Team through a period of significant transformation. Prior to this, he was CFO at United Natural Foods, Inc., a company listed on NYSE from September 2015 to August 2019, where he improved financial operations, supported acquisitions, strengthened investor relations, treasury, strategy, accounting, financial planning & analysis, and audit functions, contributing to the company's growth. He previously spent 25 years at General Mills, holding several leadership positions including Vice President of Finance for the Pillsbury Division, Vice President of Finance for U.S. Retail Sales, Director of Corporate Strategy and Treasurer.
Mr Zechmeister holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and a Master of Business Administration in Finance, Marketing and Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University
